Google Genomics and Stanford Medicine are teaming up to develop precision health. Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN Chief Medical Correspondent, weighs in on exactly how doctors are going to be able to use big data to help advance medicine. “Being able to really map the entire genome for patients can provide tremendous insights not only into the patient, but into the big populations of people as a whole.” Dr. Gupta is a member of the staff and faculty at the Emory University School of Medicine. He is associate chief of neurosurgery at Grady Memorial Hospital and regularly performs surgery at Emory University and Grady hospitals. He also hosts “A Better Life” on KGO.
