Sticking to the “Citizen Science” theme, in this third segment, we talk with Toby Ault from Cornell University about collecting and using data to understand and combat climate change. Toby is a Professor in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Cornell. We find out how the scientists are using the data collected by regular people to understand, among other things, mega droughts. We also touch on the effects of “seasonal creep,” both good and bad, that you may have unknowingly witnessed in your own environment.
