In part 2 of our chat with Kirk Hanson, we take on Automation in relation to business ethics. Kirk is the Executive Director of the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University. We discuss some of the repercussions of automation, like who is responsible for the welfare of manufacturing workers and coal miners if they lose their jobs to robots. We also find out some details from the Dalai Lama’s visit to Santa Clara 3 years ago.
